My Husband and I like casinos. And have been patrons of lake City then Cascades for many years but since the strike the Casino is really bad. Seems staff are not happy.The Tables are only open 4 days a week and only open until 2 am 2 days. MY Husband plays cash Texas Holdems. Casino workers, represented by the B.C. Government and Service Employees’ Union, walked off the job on June 29 after mediation talks with management broke down. Wages are the sticking point. Picket lines formed at casinos at Cascades Kamloops, Cascades Penticton, Playtime Kelowna and Lake City Vernon.

KAMLOOPS — As the strike of Cascades Casino employees enters a second day, employer Gateway Casinos is reminding the public they are still open for business.
In an open letter to customers Gateway said the Kamloops Casino would remain open during the labour disruption with a few changes.
Table games, the Match Eatery, and Atlas Steak + Fish will remain closed.
