Design, Display and Features
If there’s a Tecno phone I’d go for primarily cause of it’s design, it’ll be the Tecno spark plus.
On a first look you’ll notice the nice aesthetics and polished design. It comes with chic of colors you could choose from; Anthracite Grey, Champagne Gold, Elegant blue and my personal favorite the Scarlet Red.
Indeed, the phone is an upgrade as it features a 6.0 inches screen size making it slightly bigger than the K7 at 5.5 inches.
Coming to the body, spark plus is trimmed at about 7.75 and a tad heavy. Despite its size, you can easily fit the phone into your pocket / purse.
On the back of the phone, the fingerprint is neatly positioned for quick access when called into action.
Is it me or what? The phone seem to be iPhone & the Camon Cx inspired. Since the release of the Camon Series, Tecno has taken a similar design on their latest releases. Not bad!
Camera
The plus-camera and the K7 share the same specs. Although I haven’t tested the cameras yet, I’m certain the camera quality are on the same level.
That said, the Spark plus sports a 13 MP rear camera with Autofocus, HDR, face detection with LED flash.
While the front is reinforced with a 5MP camera with LED flash making it easy to take shots in a poor lit environment.
Performance, Hardware and Software
Powered by an Octa-core MediaTek processor, the speed is clocked at 1.5 GHz. This means that the spark plus is a bit faster than the Spark K7 which runs 1.3GHz Octa-Core MediaTek processor.
The performance is also enhanced with an improved 2 GB RAM. Rest assured, the phone can easily run multiple apps without lags or glitches.
To spice up user experience, the phone boots the Android 7.0 (Nougat) and Tecno’s customized HiOS 2.0 skin.

Battery
The smartphones holds a 3,400 mAh battery, it’s quite decent for average phone user.
Excluding fast charging from the spark plus is where Tecno got it all wrong. A high-end device that carries a 3,400 mAh will easily get drained by power demanding apps, including fast charging could have reduced the lacking battery storage.
